Neighbors and Strangers
Since 1991 I have made it a regular part of my day to draw each and every day, from doodles to the neighbors and strangers I would encounter often on my subway commute. These paintings began as a way to mine and expand upon these drawings, elevating quick studies to portraits exploring the immediacy of an emotionally impactful line that is succinct and to the point.
